D’Quan Porchia scored 28 points Wednesday to lead Spring Mountain’s boys basketball team to an 84-51 win over Round Mountain in a Division IV Southern League quarterfinal at Indian Springs.
Luke Bergen scored 14 of his 22 points in the fourth quarter and hit the go-ahead 3-pointer from the right wing with eight seconds to go Friday to lift Faith Lutheran’s boys basketball team to a 73-72 win over visiting Mojave.
Tevin Gray scored eight of his 22 points in the fourth quarter Saturday to help Mountain View’s boys basketball team to a 51-35 home win over Pahranagat Valley.
Zyare Ruffin’s 15-foot jumper with two seconds left in overtime lifted Durango’s boys basketball team to a 56-55 win over Loyola (Calif.) in the Fairfax State Preview in Norwalk, Calif. on Saturday.
Taylor Miller scored 16 of his 38 points in the fourth quarter Friday as Palo Verde’s boys basketball team rallied for an 85-84 win over visiting Desert Pines.
Xavier Jarvis scored five of his 39 points in overtime to lift Green Valley’s boys basketball team to an 82-80 home win over Eldorado on Tuesday.
Dewayne Alexander scored 14 points, including two free throws in the final seconds, to lead Cheyenne’s boys basketball team to a 62-60 victory over visiting Western on Thursday.
Markus Howard hit five 3-pointers and scored 25 points Saturday in a 73-59 win over Athlete Institute (Canada) in the Hoophall Classic in Springfield, Mass.
Christian Popoola had 24 points and three assists Saturday to lead Bishop Gorman’s boys basketball team to a 71-52 home win over Dixie (Utah).
Elijah Kothe hit a 3-pointer with 15 seconds remaining to lift Faith Lutheran’s boys basketball team to a 62-61 home win over Cheyenne on Friday.
Jesse Vogel scored 20 points, and Arbor View’s boys basketball team edged visiting Cimarron-Memorial 63-61 on Thursday.
Jake Epstein scored 18 of his game-high 30 points in the first half, and The Meadows beat Spring Mountain 65-51 in the fifth-place game of the Vegas Invitational.
Max Hisatake had 22 points and 18 rebounds and made a key defensive stop in the game’s final possession in the Mustangs’ 60-57 upset win over Bonanza in a third-round game of the Vegas Invitational at Mountain View.
