ROUNDUP: Anderson wills Saints to win over visiting Needles

Mountain View’s Justyn Anderson completed a three-point play with 11 seconds left in the third overtime on Monday night to give Mountain View’s boys basketball team a 95-92 home victory over Needles.

Anderson had all nine of Mountain View’s points in the third extra period.

He also hit a game-tying 3-pointer at the buzzer of the second overtime. Anderson finished with 51 points and five assists for the Saints, who also got 45 points from Anderson in Friday’s 61-41 win over Agassi Prep.

Cortland LeBoeuf added 17 points, Trevor Van Kempen scored 15, and Karl Benjamin grabbed 10 rebounds for Mountain View.

Anthony Ramos led Needles with 26 points. Michael Hills added 21 points for the Mustangs.

Durango 71, Western 69 — At Western, the Trailblazers rallied from a six-point deficit to edge the Warriors.

Devonte Williams scored 16 points to lead Durango, which trailed 48-42 entering the fourth quarter.

Greg Gentry and Tre’Von Wells each added 15 points for the Trailblazers.

Western’s Kentrell Washington led all scorers with 26 points. Sir Washington added 18 points for the Warriors.

Palo Verde 71, Centennial 67 — At Centennial, Moses Morgan scored 20 points to help the Panthers rally from a 39-32 halftime deficit and clinch at least a share of the Northwest League title with a win over the Bulldogs.

Andrew Topham scored 17 points and Davion Pearson added 10 for Palo Verde.

Aaseem Dixon led Centennial with 22 points. Ryan Vozzola added 14 points and Ben Vozzola had 13 for Centennial, which had a potential game-tying shot in the final seconds rim out. Palo Verde grabbed the rebound with 0.8 seconds left, was fouled, and made two free throws to ice the win.

Desert Oasis 61, Spring Valley 51 — At Desert Oasis, Cameron Mich’l scored a game-high 19 points and the Diamondbacks rallied from 10 points behind after the first quarter to beat the Grizzlies.

Cameron Jefferson had 13 points, and Zach Bobenhausen added 10 for Desert Oasis.

Justin Omogun scored 11 and Robert Myles had 10 to lead Spring Valley.

Shadow Ridge 70, Legacy 63 — At Shadow Ridge, Zach Hafen finished 7-for-7 from the free-throw line and scored 12 of his 19 points during the fourth quarter to help the Mustangs down the Longhorns.

David Everage had 22 points for Shadow Ridge. Hafen added seven assists.

Sam Johnson led Legacy with 15 points. Ira Haywood scored 14 and Sian Laine contributed 12 for the Longhorns.

Arbor View 90, Mojave 70 — At Arbor View, Darington Banks registered 25 points, nine rebounds and seven steals, and the Aggies jumped out to a 51-27 halftime lead and cruised past the Rattlers.

Maiscei Grier added 21 points, Anthony Trepganier had 15 and Brian Vignaud chipped in 12 for the Aggies.

Andrew Harris and Royale Jackson each scored 14 points for the Rattlers.

Sierra Vista 58, Clark 43 — At Clark, Gary Jacobs scored 18 points in the Mountain Lions’ win over the Chargers.

Viko Noma’aea added 14 points, and Justice Odabi had 12 for Sierra Vista.

Steven Dancy paced the Chargers with 18 points.

Cimarron-Memorial 75, Faith Lutheran 48 — At Cimarron, Kevin Olekaibe had 25 points and six steals, and the Spartans used a 25-9 third-quarter burst to put away the Crusaders.

Erik Brewer had 11 points and 15 rebounds for the Spartans.

Wade Norman scored 11 points and Sam Done recorded 10 for for Faith Lutheran.

Bishop Gorman 93, Bonanza 52 — At Bonanza, Shabazz Muhammad scored 14 points as the Gaels routed the Bengals.

Ronnie Stanley added 13 points for Gorman, which had 13 players score. Desi Allazetta and Anson Winder chipped in 12 points each for the Gaels, who led 30-4 after the first quarter.

Ellias Hinsey led Bonanza with 20 points. Joseph Daniel added 10 for the Bengals.
