ROUNDUP: Centennial boys clamp down on defense in win at Arbor View

Centennial’s boys basketball team held Arbor View to two second-quarter points Tuesday en route to a 70-64 road victory.

Redell Moore had 21 points and Ben Vozzola added 20 for the Bulldogs, who outscored the Aggies 15-2 in the second quarter to take a 33-23 lead.

Aaseem Dixon scored 12 points and Ryan Vozzola had 11 for Centennial.

Darington Banks led the Aggies with 18 points, six rebounds, six assists and three steals.

Chase Ealy added 16 points and Maiscei Grier chipped in 14 for Arbor View, which rallied to tie the game with six minutes to play but couldn’t retake the lead.

Foothill 77, Del Sol 68 — At Del Sol, Evan Roquemore scored 22 of his game-high 25 points in the second half, including 13 in the fourth quarter, to propel the Falcons past the Dragons.

Chris Clementi and Augy French each added 14 points for Foothill.

Jeff Coon led Del Sol with 24 points, and Devontti Gilmore and David Day scored 15 apiece for the Dragons.

Coronado 67, Basic 54 — At Basic, Coronado built a 32-22 halftime lead, then outscored the Wolves 23-14 in the third quarter for the win.

Adam Schmitt hit five 3-pointers and finished with 21 points for the Cougars. Brandon Glanz had 20 points and Drew Badillo scored 10 for Coronado.

Basic’s Vince Carducci had 13 points, and Tyler Dobbins contributed 11 points, seven rebounds and four assists for Basic.

Silverado 86, Green Valley 74 — At Green Valley, Ruben Jackson scored 32 points to help the Skyhawks rally past the Gators.

Green Valley led 35-29 at the half but were outscored 57-39 in the second half.

Tristan Craig supplied 18 points and Dwayne Marshall added 17 for Silverado.

Green Valley’s Durrell McDonald had 24 points, and Glenn Bewley scored 17 for the Gators.

Liberty 77, Tech 61 — At Tech, Tim Rambo and Aaron Navitsky each scored 14 points, and the Patriots pulled away in the second half to down the Roadrunners.

Giovanni Shelton added 12 points for Liberty, which led just 32-29 at the half.

Ben Seibert led Tech with 22 points, and teammate Michael Johnson scored 19.

Legacy 64, Faith Lutheran 46 — At Faith Lutheran, Sian Laine and Ira Haywood each scored 18 points to lead the Longhorns past the Crusaders.

Sam Johnson added 15 points for Legacy, which held Faith Lutheran to 13 second-half points.

Sam Done led the Crusaders with 14 points, and teammate Greg Thomas scored 10.

Palo Verde 85, Mojave 44 — At Mojave, the Panthers used a balance scoring attack to easily defeat the Rattlers.

Andrew Topham scored 14 points for Palo Verde, which outscored Mojave 39-17 in the second half. Davion Pearson and Delron

Mims each scored 11 points for the Panthers, and Eris Winder also added 10 points.

Caleb Maxey led Mojave with 17 points.

Mounatin View 60, Calvary Chapel 58 — At Calvary Chapel, Justyn Anderson scored 27 points to help the Saints edge the Lions.

Trevor Van Kempen had 12 points, and Karl Benjamin had eight points and 11 rebounds for Mountain View.

The Saints trailed 29-28 at halftime but outcored the Lions 20-12 in the third quarter to take control. Calvary Chapel’s Brandon Corbitt scored 17 points. Tyler Moore added 15 points and Joey Peterson had 11 for the Lions.

Agassi Prep 79, The Meadows 68 — At Agassi Prep, Quincy Brown had 30 points and 11 rebounds to help the Stars beat the Mustangs.

Curtis Watson scored 16 points and Dimitri Amos added 12 for Agassi Prep.

Garrett Gosse scored 24 points, and Max Newman contributed 17 for The Meadows.

Lake Mead 78, Pahranagat Valley 58 — At Alamo, Landon Littlefield hit four 3-pointers and scored 16 points in the second quarter to lead the Eagles past the Panthers.

Littlefield finished with 28 points, and teammate De’Quan Thompson scored 11 of his 22 points in the first quarter as the Eagles took a quick 22-7 lead.

L.J. Yamazon added 13 points for Lake Mead.

Tommy Williams paced the Panthers with 24 points, and teammate Tyler Higbee scored 15.

Trinity 71, Adelson School 49 — At Adelson School, the Thunder took a 15-4 first-quarter lead and cruised past the Lions.

Trinity’s Budweiser Hawkins scored 13 of his game-high 32 points in the first half. Tyler Watts added 19 points for the Thunder.

Gil Reginiano led the Lions with 15 points, and teammate Nick Benbenek also scored 10 points.

Henderson International 45, Indian Springs 41 — At Indian Springs, Keenan Gladd-Brown had 10 points and seven rebounds to help the Wolverines hold off the Thunderbirds.

Jay Sutorius added 10 points for Henderson International.

Adam Reinke paced Indian Springs with 18 points.

Needles 73, Boulder City 69 — At Needles, Calif., Anthony Ramos had 27 points, 10 rebounds, four assists and four steals to help the Mustangs outlast the Eagles.

Michael Hills added 18 points for Needles.

Kyle Dimpel scored 18 points for Boulder City, while Nate Hafen added 16 points, and Preston Swasey had 13.
