ROUNDUP: Eldorado boys outlast host Valley on foul shots

Eldorado’s boys basketball team converted 19-of-23 attempts from the free-throw line Wednesday to pull out a 66-62 road victory over Valley.

Curtis Stewart had 21 points, and DaQuan Thrower scored 19 for the Sundevils, who trailed 45-43 entering the fourth quarter.

Markeith Floyd added 11 points for Eldorado.

Christian Kessee led Valley with 24 points. Caleb Carter scored 11 and Jarrett Coleman 10 for the Vikings.

Centennial 74, Palo Verde 57 — At Palo Verde, Joe Marshall had 14 points to lead five Bulldogs in double figures as they knocked off the Panthers to lock up the Northwest League's top playoff seed.

Malcolm Allen added 12 points, Marcus Allen scored 11, and Justin Jones and Evan Martin each scored 10 for Centennial.

Nahjee Matlock led Palo Verde with 15 points, and Eris Winder scored 13 for the Panthers.

Spring Valley 56, Desert Oasis 52 — At Spring Valley, Deshaun Nowlin scored 20 points, including three consecutive free throws in the final minute, to help the Grizzlies hold off the Diamondbacks.

Wayne Sager had 10 points, and Tyler Jones and Gary Payton each scored seven for Spring Valley.

Jones also made three free throws after Desert Oasis began to foul with 1:07 to play.

Payton grabbed 10 rebounds for the Grizzlies, who went 7 for 12 from the stripe in the fourth quarter to preserve the win.

Cameron Mich’l led the Diamondbacks with 19 points, and teammate Zach Bobenhausen scored 14.

Canyon Springs 81, Chaparral 62 — At Canyon Springs, Chris Willis had 19 points and 12 rebounds as the Pioneers clinched the outright Northeast League title with a win over the Cowboys.

Michael Thompson added 18 points, and Donald Anderson supplied eight points, eight assists and six steals for the Pioneers (23-2, 12-1), who have a two-game lead over both Eldorado and Valley with one game left.

Zach Kirschbaum paced Chaparral with 20 points, and teammate Devonte’ White scored 10.

Arbor View 73, Mojave 66 — At Mojave, Diontae Jones scored 11 of his 17 points in the fourth quarter to lead the Aggies past the Rattlers.

Arbor View outscored Mojave 31-22 in the fourth quarter, as the Aggies were helped by a 30-for-35 finish from the foul line.

Chase Ealy had 19 point, Blake Claxton scored 14 and DeAndrea Johnson 12 for Arbor View.

Andrew Lotts led Mojave with 29 points. Quintarus Harper added 14 points for the Rattlers.

Las Vegas 78, Rancho 61 — At Rancho, Travon Langston scored 28 points and the Wildcats made 10 3-pointers to cruise to an easy win over the Rams.

George Sanico added 16 points and Juwan Major 10 for Las Vegas, which kept its playoff hopes alive.

Ciaran Subira had 15 points to lead Rancho, which got 10 points from Ronnie Thomas.

Desert Pines 78, Sunrise Mountain 72 — At Sunrise Mountain, Najee McIver scored 26 points as the Jaguars held off the Miners.

Leon Saunders added 15 points, and Jesse Martin scored 10 for Desert Pines.

Ariel Baggett paced Sunrise Mountain with 18 points. Shmariio Tolliver added 11 points, and Jeffrey Sandifer and Myles Evans each scored 10 for the Miners, who got 18 rebounds from Charles Manning.

Sierra Vista 72, Clark 60 — At Sierra Vista, Viko Noma’aea had 19 points and seven assists, and the Mountain Lions used a 19-9 run through the third quarter to defeat the Chargers.

Dallin Molina and Donovan Williams each added 11 points for Sierra Vista.

DeAndre Henderson scored 19, and Brian McGriff supplied 16 points for Clark.

Cimarron-Memorial 66, Faith Lutheran 43 — At Faith Lutheran, Erik Brewer scored 20 points to help the Spartans top the Crusaders.

Marcus Barnes added 16 points for Cimarron, which outscored Faith Lutheran 33-17 in the second half.

D’Khari Hicks had 10 points, and James Hammer supplied nine points for the Crusaders.

Bishop Gorman 85, Bonanza 50 — At Gorman, Ryan Parks had 19 points, and the Gaels bolted to a 45-18 lead and completed a perfect Southwest League season by routing the Bengals.

Shabazz Muhammad added 16 points, and Johnny Brown scored 14 for Gorman.

Teyshawn Campbell paced Bonanza with 18 points.

Legacy 80, Shadow Ridge 50 — At Legacy, Cardon Harris scored 12 points to help the Longhorns beat the Mustangs.

Brandon Galindo and Zach Lane each added 10 points for Legacy, which outscored Shadow Ridge 29-10 in the third quarter to pull away.

Robby Whitaker led the Mustangs with 15 points.

Boulder City 71, Pahrump Valley 62 — At Pahrump, Trevor Montgomery and Nate Hafen each had 14 points to lead the Eagles past the Trojans.

Austin Morgan added 13 points and Michael Hernandez 11 for Boulder City.

Damian Browning led Pahrump with 16 points, and teammate Dajhan Celius added 11 points.
