ROUNDUP: Lane helps Longhorn boys survive Desert Shields

Zach Lane tallied 26 points Monday, and Legacy’s boys basketball team survived two potential buzzer-beaters to outlast host Cheyenne, 78-75 in overtime.

Cordell Harris added 21 points, and Donavan Gray scored 15 for Legacy, which erased a 10-point deficit with four minutes left in the fourth quarter.

Cheyenne missed a potential game-winning shot at the end of regulation and a potential game-tying shot at the end of overtime.

Jamal Peterson had 23 points to pace the Desert Shields. Bryan Laws scored 16, and Khalid Banks and Gary Stewart each added 13 points for Cheyenne.

Shadow Ridge 54, Faith Lutheran 52 — At Shadow Ridge, Malcolm Davis had 14 points and 19 rebounds as the Mustangs outlasted the Crusaders.

Rodney Rainey scored 11 for Shadow Ridge, and Terell Bowden added 10 points.

D’Khari Hicks led Faith Lutheran with 16 points.

Cimarron-Memorial 73, Mojave 63 — At Cimarron-Memorial, Erik Brewer scored 26 points, and the Spartans connected on 36 of 50 free throws to down the Rattlers.

Arin Henderson scored 19 points, J.C. Broussard had 14 points, and Tyler Llewinski supplied nine points and 16 rebounds for Cimarron.

Jaishan Dean scored 12 points, and Bryant Lewis added 10 points to lead Mojave.

Palo Verde 73, Arbor View 66 — At Palo Verde, Trent Gneiting led a balanced attack with 15 points and eight rebounds as the Panthers topped the Aggies.

Nahjee Matlock supplied 14 points and five assists, and Jordyn Martin had 12 points and nine rebounds for Palo Verde, which got 12 points and eight rebounds from Michael Buchanan.

Blake Claxton poured in 33 points for Arbor View, which made 11 3-pointers.

Basic 89, Tech 53 — At Basic, Jaylen Rose compiled 17 points, five rebounds, five steals and five assists as the Wolves routed the Roadrunners.

Antraye Johnson, Isiaah Villaros and Eddie Vega added 11 points apiece for Basic, which outscored Tech 57-32 in the middle two quarters.

Devonte Boyd supplied nine points, nine assists and six rebounds for the Wolves.

Josh West and Tyler Walker each had 13 points to lead Tech.

Coronado 77, Del Sol 59 — At Del Sol, Teyshawn Campbell tallied 15 points, and Jordan Willis had 12 points to lead the Cougars past the Dragons.

Lamar Walker and Austin Moiseyev each scored 10 points for Coronado.

Max Prescott had 15 points, and Chris Marshall added 11 points to lead Del Sol.

Durango 86, Sierra Vista 46 — At Sierra Vista, Joe Tuss drained five 3-pointers to finish with 26 points and 12 rebounds as the Trailblazers rolled past the Mountain Lions.

Tyler Watts added 12 points and nine rebounds, and Tyler Jones supplied 12 points for Durango, which made nine 3-pointers and converted on 15-of-17 free throws.

Nino Flores had 11 points to lead Sierra Vista.

Bonanza 51, Pahrump Valley 32 — At Pahrump, Carter Olsen tallied 18 points, and the Bengals hopped to a 26-12 halftime lead en route to a win over the Trojans.

Dalton Beighley led Pahrump with 15 points.

Western 59, Desert Oasis 48 — At Western, Samuel Jamerson posted 15 points as the Warriors defeated the Diamondbacks.

Malik Murray added nine points, including a 6-of-6 effort from the free-throw line in the fourth quarter, for Western.

Noah Jefferson scored 19 points for Desert Oasis, and Alex Trillo tallied 12 points.

Oasis Christian 50, Word of Life 36 — At Oasis Christian, Sam Carnicle scored 19 points, and Brandon Chamblee added 11 points to lead the Bulldogs past the Eagles.

Joe Visser and Emeka Okafor each scored 13 points, and Toufic Awada had 10 points to account for all of the scoring for Word of Life.

Clark at Spring Valley — The Clark at Spring Valley game was postponed after a fire alarm was activated at Spring Valley. A make-up date has not yet been announced.
