ROUNDUP: Olekaibe’s 23 helps Spartans clinch No. 3 seed

Cimarron-Memorial’s Kevin Olekaibe had 23 points and seven assists as the Spartans beat visiting Shadow Ridge 62-53 to clinch the Northwest League’s No. 3 playoff seed.

Ben Dorsey added 13 points for Cimarron, which outscored the Mustangs 23-11 in the fourth quarter.

Leo Bermudez added 12 points and 10 rebounds, and Erik Brewer grabbed 12 rebounds for the Spartans.

David Everage led Shadow Ridge with 19 points. Zach Hafen scored 15 and Josh Youngblood supplied 11 for the Mustangs.

Coronado 69, Basic 54 — At Coronado, Brandon Glanz had 13 of his 21 points in the fourth quarter as the Cougars rallied to beat the Wolves.

Coronado’s Adam Schmitt added 14 points and 18 rebounds, and Drew Badillo scored 12 for the Cougars, who finished tied with the Wolves at 42 after three quarters.

Toney Jones led Basic with 15 points. John Polin scored 14 and Tyler Dobbins contributed 11 for the Wolves, which were eliminated from playoff contention.

Silverado 58, Green Valley 42 — At Silverado, Ruben Jackson had 25 points and seven assists as the Skyhawks beat the Gators to clinch a postseason berth.

Dwayne Marshall added 14 points, and David Lutomski pulled down nine rebounds for Silverado, which must beat Foothill on Friday to earn the Southeast League’s No. 3 playoff seed.

Durrell McDonald had 10 points to lead Green Valley.

Liberty 82, Tech 54 — At Liberty, Tim Rambo scored 20 points as the Patriots cruised to an easy home win over the Roadrunners.

Giovanni Shelton added 18 points, and Ashante Ross supplied 14 points, eight rebounds and five assists for Liberty, which clinched a playoff spot with the win.

Mike Johnson scored 14 points and Ben Seibert added 13 for Tech.

Centennial 89, Legacy 72 — At Legacy, the Bulldogs scored the last five points of the first quarter and used a 20-11 second-quarter burst to roll past the Longhorns.

Aaseem Dixon hit three 3-pointers, and scored 15 of his 23 points in the first half for Centennial.

Ben Vozzola had 18 points, and Evan Martin contributed 16 points for the Bulldogs.

Legacy’s Sam Johnson tallied 19 points and 12 rebounds. Ira Haywood had 15 points, and Sian Laine supplied 14 points and eight assists for the Longhorns.

Foothill 87, Del Sol 45 — At Foothill, Chris Clementi drained seven 3-pointers and finished with 27 points as the Falcons routed the Dragons.

Greg Cox added 19 points, and Evan Roquemore had 18 points and six assists for Foothill, which outscored Del Sol 56-18 in the middle two quarters.

Jeff Coon paced Del Sol with 34 points.

Palo Verde 78, Faith Lutheran 54 — At Palo Verde, Moses Morgan had 19 points and 10 rebounds, and Andrew Topham added 15 points and 12 rebounds as the Panthers topped the Crusaders.

Davion Pearson added 10 points for Palo Verde.

Wade Norman led Faith Lutheran with 16 points.

Cheyenne 70, Mojave 49 — At Mojave, Chris McCall scored 15 points and Ervin Leu added 11 as the Desert Shields knocked off the Rattlers.

Mojave’s Royale Jackson led all scorers with 17 points.

Lincoln County 101, Needles 92 — At Panaca, Dantley Walker had 53 points — including nine 3-pointers to go along with 11 assists and seven rebounds to lead the Lynx past the Mustangs.

Eric Rippetoe added 21 points and 11 rebounds, and Jeremy Avery grabbed 10 rebounds for Lincoln County, which outscored Needles 34-18 in the second quarter to take control.

Anthony Ramos and Michael Hills each scored 26 for the Mustangs.

Pahranagat Valley 79, Indian Springs 36 — At Alamo, Kade Wadsworth scored 20 points, and the Panthers bolted to a 43-16 halftime lead en route to the easy win.

Tyler Higbee added 17 points, Derek Hansen had 14, Cody Hosier contributed 13 and Dustin Poulsen supplied 11 for Pahranagat Valley.

Adam Reinke scored 15 points for the Thunderbirds.

Lake Mead 75, Boulder City 59 — At Boulder City, Landon Littlefield had 38 points, and Lake Mead sprinted to a 52-18 halftime lead in routing Boulder City.

De'Quan Thompson added 16 points for Lake Mead.

Preston Swasey had 18 points, Kyle Dimpel scored 15 and Nate Hafen added 14 for Boulder City.

Henderson International 57, Adelson School 49 — At Henderson International, Cal Rivera had 21 points, seven rebounds and two blocks to help the Wolverines rally past the Lions.

Jay Sutorius had 19 points, eight rebounds and three steals for Henderson International, which climbed out of a 31-23 halftime deficit.

Keenan Gladd-Brown supplied eight points and eight rebounds for the Wolverines.

Aaron Lapping led Adelson with 14 points.
