ROUNDUP: Spring Valley boys hand Desert Oasis first league loss

Trey Whitley had 23 points to lead Spring Valley’s boys basketball team to an 84-71 victory over visiting Desert Oasis on Tuesday.

Anton Stallworth added 18 points, and Corey Clement scored 17 for the Grizzlies.

Nick Cruz had 17 points, and Cameron Mich’l added 12 points for Desert Oasis, which dropped its first Southwest League game of the season.

Coronado 87, Del Sol 68 — At Coronado, Brandon Glanz had 36 points and 12 rebounds as the Cougars rolled past the Dragons.

Austin Nelson added 19 points and 11 assists for Coronado in coach Paul Berg’s 200th career win.

Devontti Gilmore led Del Sol with 21 points.

Western 83, Durango 75 — At Durango, the Warriors jumped out to a 49-23 halftime advantage and held on to beat the Trailblazers.

Western’s Kentrell Washington had 15 of his game-high 23 points in the first half. Kenyon Washington added 20 points, Sir

Washington scored 13 and Aaron Buckley chipped in 11 for the Warriors.

Yedata Demisse led Durango with 17 points. Devante Williams scored 15, Tre’Von Wells had 13 and Greg Gentry added 11 for the Trailblazers.

Cimarron-Memorial 93, Faith Lutheran 72 — At Faith Lutheran, Kevin Olekaibe scored 22 of his 28 points in the first half, helping the Spartans take a 45-31 halftime lead and cruise past the Crusaders.

Carlin Williams had 13 points, Erik Brewer added 12 and Mussie Gerbremeskel contributed 10 for Cimarron.

Sam Done led the Crusaders with 24 points. Wade Norman added 13 points for Faith Lutheran.

Arbor View 70, Mojave 50 — At Mojave, the Aggies outscored the Rattlers 28-16 in the fourth quarter to earn the road victory.

Darington Banks scored 16 of his 18 points in the second half for Arbor View. Maiscei Grier added 16 points and DeAndre Bright had 15 for the Aggies.

Royale Jackson led Mojave with 20 points.

Legacy 93, Shadow Ridge 75 — At Legacy, Ira Haywood scored 25 points and Brian McDaniel had 23 as the Longhorns pounded the Mustangs.

Sian Laine had 13 points, 12 assists and eight steals, Sam Johnson supplied 13 points and 10 rebounds, and Zack Lane added 10 points and 10 rebounds for Legacy.

Zach Hafen had 19 points and Josh Youngblood scored 18 for Shadow Ridge.

Palo Verde 92, Centennial 79 — At Palo Verde, Moses Morgan and Davion Pearson combined for 13 points during a 25-8 first-quarter run that propelled the Panthers past the Bulldogs.

Andrew Topham led Palo Verde with 25 points. Morgan scored 24 and Pearson finished with 13.

Aaseem Dixon paced the Bulldogs with 26 points. Ben Vozzola added 16 points and David Brodzeller had 11 for Centennial.

Sierra Vista 65, Clark 55 — At Sierra Vista, Viko Noma’aea had 24 points and shot 6-for-6 from the free-throw line in the fourth quarter as the Mountain Lions held off the Chargers.

Justice Odabi added 12 points for Sierra Vista.

Steven Dancy led Clark with 25 points. Alejandro Rangel added 12 points for the Chargers.

Basic 76, Tech 56 — At Basic, Tyler Dobbins had 18 points, 10 assists and seven rebounds to lead the Wolves past the Roadrunners.

Nick Sangchaloay scored 16 points and Vince Carducci added 10 for Basic.

Ben Seibert led Tech with 18 points, and Michael Johnson scored 13.

Liberty 74, Green Valley 55 — At Liberty, Aaron Navitsky had 23 points to lead the Patriots past the Gators.

Thomas Lauguico added 14 points for Liberty, which outscored Green Valley 26-6 in the third quarter to pull away.

Glenn Bewley led the Gators with 10 points.

Bishop Gorman 87, Bonanza 45 — At Gorman, Shabazz Muhammad scored 22 points as the Gaels cruised past the Bengals.

Rosco Allen had 12 points and Desi Allazetta and Johnathan Loyd each added 10 for Gorman.

Loyd added seven assists, and Xavier Grimble had nine points and eight rebounds for the Gaels.

Dasean Martin had 10 points for Bonanza.

Mountain View 69, The Meadows 51 — At Calvary Chapel, the Saints raced to a 32-20 halftime lead and cruised to the victory.

Justyn Anderson had 25 points, six assists and nine rebounds to lead Mountain View. Cortland LeBoeuf added 22 points and six steals, and Trevor Van Kempen scored 14 points for the Saints. Mountain View’s Karl Benjamin grabbed 14 rebounds.

Max Newman had 18 points and Garret Gosse contributed 12 for The Meadows.

Sunrise Mountain 70, Boulder City 64 — At Boulder City, Matt Marshall had 24 points to help the Miners collect their first win by nipping the Eagles.

Fharhaad Zinnamon had 14 points and Anthony Burgess added 12 for Sunrise Mountain.

Greg Goodfellow led Boulder City with 14 points. Preston Swasey and Kyle Dimpel each scored 13 points for the Eagles.

Lake Mead 67, Sandy Valley 5 — At Sandy Valley, Spencer Kowis had 14 points and eight rebounds to lead the Eagles in a rout of the Sidewinders.

Landon Littlefield added 14 points and De’Quan Thompson scored 12 for Lake Mead, which held Sandy Valley to one field goal.
