CLASS 1A: Beatty girls roll past Round Mountain, into semifinals
Teresa Gomez scored 20 points to lead Beatty’s girls basketball team to a 65-25 home win over Round Mountain on Tuesday in the Class 1A Southern League tournament.
The Hornets (9-3) move into the tournament semifinals where they will play Tonopah (7-6) at 3 p.m. on Friday at Sunrise Mountain.
Indian Springs (13-6) plays at Lund (11-7) at 5 p.m. on Wednesday. The winner of that game plays Pahranagat Valley in the other semifnal at 6:20 on Friday at Sunrise Mountain.
The tournament’s title game is set for noon Saturday at Durango.
