GIRLS BASKETBALL: Gray helps Rams edge Wildcats in OT

Kanosha Gray scored six of her 10 points in overtime Tuesday to help Rancho’s girls basketball team to a 52-46 win over visiting Las Vegas.

Miyah Wilson had 13 points and 13 rebounds for the Rams, who took a 29-24 lead into the fourth quarter.

Shaleea Butler led the Wildcats with 16 points.

Green Valley 45, Valley 42 — At Green Valley, Maggie Manwarren made a key layup in the final minute to help the Gators edge the Vikings.

Manwarren had 17 points, six rebounds, four assists and four steals to lead Green Valley. Brooke Haney added 11 points, and Rianna Rudolph scored 10 for the Gators.

Gabrielle Cabanero led Valley with 14 points, and teammate Kennedy Wharton added 12 points.

Basic 68, Eldorado 61 — At Eldorado, Jayla Brown racked up 34 points to guide the Wolves past the Sundevils.

Dana Deloney added 12 points for Basic, which used a 23-13 second quarter burst to pull away.

DeNisheun Jackson poured in 28 points, and Deasia Walker had 16 to lead Eldorado.

Durango 47, Shadow Ridge 40 — At Shadow Ridge, Vonie Thomas scored 14 points to help the Trailblazers down the Mustangs.

Jazmin Chavez added 10 points for Durango.

Assana King had 11 points for Shadow Ridge.

Palo Verde 78, Sierra Vista 51 — At Palo Verde, Brooklyn Cruz poured in 20 points to lead the Panthers to victory over the Mountain Lions.

Taylor Bolden added 16 points, and Paulina Silcox supplied 12 points for Palo Verde, which got 11 points from Nallah Thomas-McDade.

Danielle Morrow had 13 points, and Juliana Asa chipped in 12 points for Sierra Vista, which got 11 points from Kennedy Nieves.

Foothill 71, Del Sol 35 — At Foothill, Kelsey McFarland scored 25 points, and the Falcons sprinted to a 22-7 first quarter lead and went on to rout the Dragons.

Taylor Turney added 21 points for Foothill.

Sayanna Roy led Del Sol with 18 points.

Arbor View 62, Spring Valley 23 — At Arbor View, the Aggies jumped out to a 34-6 lead after one quarter and cruised past the Grizzlies.

Katrina Nordstrom, Jocelyn Jordan, Ariona Gill and Caroline Rivera each had 11 points for Arbor View, which led 52-10 at the half.

Aliana Reale and Shania Emerson each scored six for Spring Valley.

Canyon Springs 72, Silverado 28 — At Canyon Springs, Alexia Thrower had 13 points and nine rebounds to help the Pioneers roll past the Skyhawks.

Daijhan Cooks also scored 13 points, and teammate Chantia Jones added 11 points for Canyon Springs, which got 10 points from Dlicya Feaster.

Holly Messmer led Silverado with eight points.

The Meadows 54, Mountain View 21 — At The Meadows, Hana Resch scored 17 points to lead the Mustangs by the Saints.

Delaney Gosse added 12 points for The Meadows, which led 32-9 at the half.

Caitlyn Martin paced Mountain View with eight points.

Lake Mead 37, Laughlin 35 — At Laughlin, Savannah Schmidt scored 20 points, including the winning free throws with six seconds left, to lift the Eagles over the Cougars.

Diana Durazo led Laughlin with 18 points.

Indian Springs 33, Adelson School 24 — At Indian Springs, Baylee McCormick had 14 points and 12 rebounds to lead the Thunderbirds past the Lions.

Hannah Thormahlen had 13 points and 10 rebounds to help Indian Springs.

Erykah Blackwell had 12 points to lead Adelson School.
