Tiarra Beville’s jump shot with less than five seconds to play Saturday allowed Durango’s girls basketball team to eke out a 52-50 win at Clark.
The Trailblazers led 33-15 at the half and took a 44-30 lead into the fourth quarter before a furious comeback by the Chargers tied the game at 50 with a minute to play. Beville then drove to the left side and hit a bank shot to win the game.
Beville finished with 18 points, and Amanda Boucher scored 11 for Durango.
Angelena Cook paced Clark with 21 points, and teammate Jacqueline Garcia scored 17.
Needles 48, Laughlin 15 — At Laughlin, Gena Chavira scored 22 points to help the Mustangs cruise past the Cougars.
Abby Chandler added 11 points for Needles, which led 42-8 after three quarters.
Diana Durazo scored seven points to lead Laughlin.
Lincoln County 64, Lake Mead 42 — At Panaca, Tia Florence tallied 19 points, and the Lynx never looked back after taking a 21-6 first-quarter lead.
Melanie Florence added 15 points, and Kourtney Gloeckner scored 10 for Lincoln County.
Taylor Badua-Kono led the Eagles with 22 points, and teammate Colleen Zumaran had 10 points.
Pahranagat Valley 47, Eureka 33 — At Alamo, Bailee Hosier scored 11 points, and the Panthers used a 29-9 run in the middle two quarters to down the Vandals.
Alyssa Higbee added 10 points and six assists for Pahranagat Valley, which got 12 rebounds from Dakota Day and nine rebounds apiece from Halie Lewis and Kimberly Lewis.
BOYS
Joel Feigler racked up 17 points and 12 rebounds Saturday to help Durango’s boys basketball team to a 64-36 win at Clark.
Tre’Von Wells poured in 21 points for the Trailblazers, who raced to a 38-13 halftime lead and were never threatened.
DeAndre Henderson led Clark with nine points.
Tonopah 60, Trinity 18 — At Dula Gymnasium, the Muckers grabbed an 18-4 lead after one quarter and never looked back in a win over the Thunder.
Tonopah outscored the Thunder 31-2 in the second half.
Chris Bautista led Trinity with seven points.
Laughlin 72, Needles 63 — At Laughlin, Andre Prosise poured in 21 points to help the Cougars top the Mustangs.
Nick Todd added 19 points, and Daniel Marecki scored 12 for Laughlin.
Michael Hills led Needles with 17 points. Aaron Burns added 16 points, and Lewis Larrabee tallied 10 points for the Mustangs.
