ROUNDUP: Kunzi leads balanced Pahrump girls past Bonanza
Alyson Kunzi scored nine of her 11 points in the second half Wednesday to help Pahrump Valley’s girls basketball team to a 46-40 win over visiting Bonanza.
Toi Simmons, Taylor Ball and Ashley Lindgren each tallied 10 points for the Trojans, who outscored Bonanza 26-20 in the second half.
Daytril Beals led the Bengals with 14 points, and Alice Pitts scored 11.
Desert Oasis 51, Western 44 — At Western, the Diamondbacks overcame a 31-16 halftime deficit to beat the Warriors.
Trini Morgan scored 14 points, Tatiana Kearn tallied 12, and Auburn Smith added 10 for Desert Oasis. which used a 23-7 third-quarter run to take a one-point lead.
Michelle Simon led Western with 15 points.
Clark 50, Spring Valley 49 — At Spring Valley, Kiara Nesmith forced overtime by making a free throw late in regulation, and Clark survived a last-second shot in the extra period to down the Grizzlies.
Michelle Garcia paced the Chargers with 21 points. Tarah Murph added 11 points and Julianna Thornock 10 for the Chargers, who trailed 32-23 entering the final quarter.
Lauren Bugni and Michi Taylor each had 15 points, and Adriana Flores-Proano scored 11 for Spring Valley.
