VEGAS INVITATIONAL: Walker, Sundevils edge Warriors

Deasia Walker had 26 points Saturday to help Eldorado’s girls basketball team to a 50-48 win over Western in the Vegas Invitational at Mountain View.

Daria Lomasney added 11 points for Eldorado.

Destiny Gonzalez paced Western with 24 points, and teammate Capricia Pierce scored 19.

Arroyo Valley (Calif.) 76, Western 9 — Tamera Trigg scored 40 points as the Hawks routed the Warriors.

Nidirah Stephens added 15 points, and Antania Watkins scored 12 for Arroyo Valley, which gave up just three field goals to Western.

Gonzalez scored six points for the Warriors.

Arroyo Valley (Calif.) 91, Eldorado 17 — Trigg poured in 43 points to give the Hawks the lopsided victory over the Sundevils.

Trigg’s total was the highest single game total in tournament history, passing the 41 points set by Fairmont Preps’s (Calif.) Liz Thai in 2006.

Watkins added 17 points for Arroyo Valley, which led 21-4 after the first quarter.

Eldorado’s Walker scored all eight of her points in the first half.

Mojave 46, Mountain View 29 — Keyara Lemon scored 14 points, and the Rattlers used a 16-5 game-ending run to put away the Saints.

Kristina Gomez added 10 points for Mojave.

Kiley Murphy led Mountain View with 17 points.

Mountain View 46, River Valley (Ariz.) 44 — Murphy connected on five 3-pointers and finished with 26 points as the Saints edged the Dust Devils.

Murphy scored 19 of her 26 points in the second half for Mountain View, which led 29-28 after three quarters. Rose Adkins added 15 points for the Saints.

Katelyn King had 17 points, and teammate Baylee Butcher scored 16 for River Valley.

Mojave 43, River Valley (Ariz.) 37 — Charleea Armstrong scored 10 of her team-high 12 points in the first half as the Rattlers downed the Dust Devils.

RayEna Rael added 10 points for Mojave, which led 30-23 after three quarters.

King had 13 points, and Krista Jackman scored 10 for River Valley.

Bonanza 62, Sunrise Mountain 50 — Alexis Harris scored a game-high 21 points to lead the Bengals by the Miners.

Alyssa Powers added 17 points for Bonanza, which led 33-24 at halftime.

Whykella Haley had 14 points for Sunrise Mountain. Tayaa Pratt and Nina Carpenter each added 10 points for the Miners.

Bonanza 48, Sage Hill (Calif.) 31 — Powers had 13 points, six rebounds and five steals as the Bengals made quick work of the Lightning.

Harris added nine points for Bonanza, which led 42-22 after three quarters.

Elizabeth Alvarez led Sage Hill with 10 points.

Sunrise Mountain 62, Sage Hill (Calif.) 39 — Haley and Tyrah Lee each scored 14 points to lift the Miners over the Lightning.

Ayla Diaz had 12 points for Sunrise Mountain, which led 43-38 after three quarters.

Alvarez had eight points for Sage Hill.
