Outlook: The Lynx return plenty of experience from a team that clinched the final playoff spot out of the Class 2A Southern League last season.

Dyllon Cluff was a Class 2A second-team all-state defensive lineman last season, and he’s back to lead a defense with eight returning starters.

“I think our defense is really strong this year,” Ottley said. “Offensively, we’re a little more wide open. With Rippetoe at quarterback, we can throw the ball effectively.”

Avery was a first-team All-Class 2A Southern League pick last season, and he’ll pair with Cheeney to give the Lynx a dangerous ground game.
