Reinke, Thunderbirds hold off Spring Mountain
Adam Reinke rushed for two touchdowns and passed for two more Friday as Indian Springs held off visiting Spring Mountain, 38-32.
Reinke piled up 99 rushing yards on 15 carries, with TD runs of 23 and 5 yards for the Thunderbirds (2-1, 1-0 1A Southern). He also hit Xavier Pena with scoring passes of 30 and 20 yards. The Thunderbird quarterback completed 13 of 20 passes for 192 yards. He also made 21 tackles on defense.
Josh Swisher rushed for 91 yards and a touchdown, caught seven passes for 94 yards, and was in on nine tackles for Indian Springs.
Malcom Brown rushed for two scores and passed for another to lead Spring Mountain (2-1, 0-1), which scored the game’s final 18 points.
