Woodbury’s late TD lifts Eagles past Canyon View

Joe Woodbury scored on a 3-yard run with one minute, 22 seconds left to play Friday to lift Boulder City to a 17-14 win over visiting Canyon View (Utah).

Woodbury led all rushers with 124 yards on 14 carries. Colton Schulz added 56 yards on six carries for Boulder City (3-1), and Dustin Mantia had 42 yards on seven carries.

Canyon View (0-4) turnovers led to a 25-yard field goal by junior Keenan Sharp-Bryant in the first quarter. Senior Jack LaMarca then scored on a 2-yard touchdown run in the second quarter, helping the Eagles to a 9-7 halftime lead.

The Falcons took the lead as Kameron King hit Zack Hansen with TD passes of 12 and 24 yards.

Boulder City had 328 yards of total offense, to Canyon View’s 211.
