ROUNDUP: Bishop Gorman wins Southwest match
Bishop Gorman’s Frank Frisbee shot 11-over-par 83 on Monday to lead the Gaels to victory in a Southwest League match at Canyon Gate.
Gorman shot 451 as a team to edge Pahrump Valley (456) and Desert Oasis (456).
Pahrump took second on a tiebreaker.
Pahrump Valley’s Doran Patel was the medalist with a 77. Elliott Owens added an 81 for the Trojans.
Darland, Coronado win Southeast match
At Anthem, Tad Darland shot 2-under 70 to lead Coronado to a first-place finish in a Southeast League match.
The Cougars had a score of 38, 40 strokes ahead of second-place Foothill. Green Valley was third at 456.
Silverado’s Josh Fisher finished second individually with a 74, and Foothill’s Taylor Montgomery was third at 75.
