BOYS SOCCER: Guzman’s goal gives Wildcats win over Vikings

Ricardo Guzman’s goal with 12 minutes left Tuesday lifted Las Vegas High’s boys soccer team to a 3-2 victory over visiting Valley.

Daniel Nunez had a goal and an assist, and Elias Torres also scored for the Wildcats, who battled back from a 2-1 halftime deficit.

Eric Sanchez and Jonathan Cerda scored for the Vikings.

Silverado 1, Canyon Springs 0 — At Canyon Springs, Randy Casas’ goal off a free kick midway through the second half accounted for all of the scoring as the Skyhawks nipped the Pioneers.

Ryan Schmucker made six saves en route to the shutout.

Palo Verde 1, Durango 0 — At Durango, Griffin Mallas scored midway through the second half to allow the Panthers to edge the Trailblazers.

Nishesh Yadav registered the shutout for Palo Verde.

Liberty 2, Coronado 1 — At Coronado, Danny Musovski scored twice in the first half, and the Patriots held off the Cougars.

Justin Lyons scored in the second half for Coronado.

Shadow Ridge 1, Spring Valley 1 — At Spring Valley, the Mustangs and Grizzlies played to a tie.

Shadow Ridge’s Matthew Camacho and Spring Valley’s Andrew Bustios exchanged first-half goals.

Clark 2, Adelson School 1 — At Adelson, Alexis Lopez scored the tiebreaking goal early in the second half to lift the Chargers by the Lions.

Lopez also assisted on Jose Munoz’s first-half goal for Clark.

Dominic Bembenek scored for Adelson School.

Green Valley 2, Rancho 0 — At Rancho, Roberto Rodriguez had a goal and an assist to lead the Gators over the Rams.

Enzo Trasante added a goal, and Bryant Peralta made five saves to get the shutout.

Sierra Vista 2, Arbor View 0 — At Sierra Vista, Miles McRae scored twice to lift the Mountain Lions over the Aggies.

Alberto Vazquez made three saves to get the shutout for Sierra Vista.

Del Sol 4, Basic 2 — At Basic, Luis Mendez had a goal and an assist to lead the Dragons over the Wolves.

Carlos Guevera, Juan Sequeira and Jason Garza each added a goal for Del Sol, which scored twice in the second half to break a 2-2 halftime tie.

Ismael Carranza and Cesar Herrera each had a goal for Basic.

Eldorado 6, Foothill 1 — At Foothill, Andres Lua scored three goals, and Chris Perez had a goal and two assists as the Sundevils defeated the Falcons.

Israel Hernandez and Gabriel Pedraza each added a goal for Eldorado.
