ROUNDUP: Thompson’s second-half goals lead Gorman boys past Clark

Shane Thompson scored a pair of second-half goals Tuesday to lead Bishop Gorman’s boys soccer team to a 3-1 home win over Clark.

Michael Gray added a goal and an assist for the Gaels.

Luis Romero’s penalty-kick goal with two minutes remaining accounted for the Chargers’ lone score.

Gorman (6-0-1) has allowed only three goals all season — all on penalty kicks.

Desert Oasis 2, Pahrump Valley 2 — Jarom Stuart scored twice, including the tying goal midway through the second half, as the Diamondbacks earned a draw with the Trojans.

Bryce Moser and Jason Garcia scored for Pahrump.

Bonanza 5, Durango 1 — At Durango, Giovanni Rodriguez notched two goals, and Robert Sagel added a goal and two assists to lead the Bengals past the Trailblazers.

Sergio Rodriguez and Kyle Simmons also scored for Bonanza.

Jose Perez tallied Durango’s goal.

Western 3, Spring Valley 0 — At Spring Valley, Joshua Ballard had a goal and an assist to lead the Warriors past the Grizzlies.

Mario Mendoza and Armando Herrera each added a goal for Western, and goalkeeper Jose Bautista earned the shutout.

Legacy 2, Palo Verde 0 — At Legacy, Saul Aguirre had a goal and an assist, and Stefan Skrinjaric also scored as the Longhorns blanked the Panthers.

Julio Uribe recorded the shutout for the Longhorns.

Arbor View 4, Faith Lutheran 0 — At Kellogg-Zahre Park, Kyle Withoft tallied three goals and an assist to help the Aggies shut out the Crusaders.

Hunter Hill also scored for Arbor View.

Christian Hallstrom made five saves to earn the shutout.

Mojave 2, Shadow Ridge 2 — At Shadow Ridge, Juan Gutierrez registered a goal and an assist, and goalkeeper Jose Reyes made 19 saves and added an assist as the Mustangs earned a tie with the Rattlers.

Blake Damato also scored for Shadow Ridge.

Benjamin Soto tallied both of the Rattlers’ goals.

Centennial 2, Cheyenne 1 — At Cheyenne, Blake Frischknecht and Grant Gonzales scored a goal apiece to help the Bulldogs edge the Desert Shields.

Jackson Collins scored for Cheyenne.

Virgin Valley 8, Moapa Valley 1 — At Mesquite, William Lara scored four goals, and Juan Ulloa added two goals and an assist as the Bulldogs downed the Pirates.

Juan Macias and Tanner Tichenor each posted a goal and an assist for Virgin Valley.

Borja Mateos scored Moapa Valley’s lone goal.

Boulder City 4, The Meadows 3 — At Boulder City, Peter Standjordek scored twice, and Trevor Montgomery notched three assists as the Eagles held off the Mustangs.

Massimo Barbieri and Daniel Andrade also scored for the Eagles.

Toby Warburton had two goals and Cameron Brown added one for The Meadows, which got three assists from Alex Karabachev.
