SHOW LOW INVITE: Trama helps Gator boys to title

Antonio Trama had three goals and two assists to help Green Valley's boys soccer team capture the championship in the Show Low Invitational with a 9-0 win over Desert Christian (Ariz.) on Saturday in Show Low, Ariz.

Ricardo Nunez added two goals and an assist, and Maliq Cooper had a goal and two assists for the Gators. Alex Gibson, Braydon Lopez and Kevin Yanez also scored for Green Valley.

Salvatore Hicks made two saves en route to the shutout.

Green Valley 11, Payson (Ariz.) 0 — Trama had three goals, and Cooper added a goal and four assists as the Gators routed the Longhorns.

Nunez added a goal and an assist, and Elyjah DeLeon, Alessandro Sanchez, Thoren Kaufusi, German Martinez, Anthony Rock and Yanez also scored for Green Valley. Connor Malone had two assists for the Gators.

Hicks was credited with the shutout.

Faith Lutheran 2, Show Low (Ariz.) 0 — Logan Buckley and Conner Frame each scored once to lead the Crusaders by the Cougars.

Tyler Martin was in goal for the shutout.

Faith Lutheran 3, St. Johns (Ariz.) 2 — Buckley scored twice to help the Crusaders nip the Redskins..

Brock Hagge added a goal and an assist for Faith Lutheran.
