SOCCER: Western boys hold off Clark

Ricardo Gonzalez, Isaac Arellano and Nathaniel Reyes each scored a first-half goal Friday to help Western's boys soccer team hold off visiting Clark, 3-2.

Eduardo Martinez had a goal and an assist, and Leo Franco scored for the Chargers.

Faith Lutheran 4, Cheyenne 2 — At Cheyenne, Conner Frame had two goals and an assist as the Crusaders downed the Desert Shields.

Harut Khachoyan had a goal and an assist, and Liam Bredin also scored for Faith Lutheran, which got two assists from Logan Buckley.

Felix Ellqvist scored twice for Cheyenne.

Sierra Vista 4, Pahrump Valley 1 — At Pahrump, Konnor King, Daniel Perez, Kebba Jobe and Zekarias Kasseye each scored once to lead the Mountain Lions by the Trojans.

Alex Ramirez scored for Pahrump.

Cimarron-Memorial 3, Silverado 0 — At Silverado, Gustavo Garcia-Reyes, Christian Pango and Arturo Bahena each scored once as the Spartans downed the Skyhawks.

Richard Crews and Dylan Crosby-Moghadam combined on the shutout.

GIRLS

Faith Lutheran 2, Cheyenne 2 — At Faith Lutheran, Girly Tambeagbor and Yadira Erives each had a goal and an assist to help the Desert Shields tie the Crusaders.

Megan Donnelly and Maggie Shuirman scored for Faith Lutheran.

Pahrump Valley 1, Sierra Vista 0 — At Sierra Vista, Sydney Dennis' first-half goal accounted for all of the scoring as the Trojans edged the Mountain Lions.

Winter Young made 11 saves to earn the shutout.

Clark 5, Western 1 — At Clark, Ariana Reyes and Darian Gambetta each had two goals and an assist as the Chargers downed the Warriors.

Eyker Milan also scored for Clark.

Ellyson Reynada scored for Western.

Centennial 6, Mojave 0 — At Mojave, Marcella Brooks had three goals to lead the Bulldogs by the Rattlers.

Krista Broude, Katelyn Levoyer and Addison Riddle also scored for Centennial.
