ROUNDUP: Carroll’s free kick lifts Spring Valley girls past Western

Leslie Carroll scored on a 35-yard free kick in the final 15 minutes of the match Wednesday to give Spring Valley’s girls soccer team a 2-1 home victory over Western.

Bailey Boyack had the other goal for Spring Valley.

Carmen Ramirez scored for Western.

Bonanza 4, Durango 0 — At Durango, Kalyn Goffney had three goals as the Bengals shut out the Trailblazers.

Bree Hammel added one for Bonanza, which led 3-0 at the half.

Goalkeeper Keirsten Phillips earned a shutout.

Bishop Gorman 7, Clark 0 — At Gorman, Mia Moore scored three goals as the Gaels blitzed the Chargers.

Haley Wingender scored twice for the Gaels, who also got goals from Megan Wasiak and Allie Arguello.

Kaylee Vitale and Sam Higgins combined on the shutout.

Centennial 4, Cheyenne 1 — At Cheyenne, the Bulldogs jumped out to a 2-0 halftime lead en route the victory.

Bethanie Skelton had two goals and an assist, and teammate Jordyn Rolling supplied two goals for Centennial.

Tyndall Taylor, Vanessa Pursel and Sienna Drizin each tallied an assist for the Bulldogs.

Samantha Floyd scored Cheyenne’s lone goal on an assist from Jennifer Ramirez.

Shadow Ridge 7, Mojave 0 — At Shadow Ridge, Taylor Lopez scored three goals, and the Mustangs jumped out to a 5-0 halftime lead and easily defeated the Rattlers.

Gabby Hernandez, Kelsey Kurth, Erica Watson and Katie McClure each added one for Shadow Ridge.

Goalkeeper Brice Poort earned a shutout for the Mustangs.

Palo Verde 7, Legacy 1 — At Legacy, Alyssa Kleiner had three goals, and Sila Tuiofea scored twice as the Panthers routed the Longhorns.

Kori Jeffries and Lauren Kaskie each added a goal for Palo Verde.

Ashley Stichauf scored on a penalty kick for Legacy.
