Kiley McCall had 47 assists, 17 digs and three aces Monday to lead Foothill’s girls volleyball team to a 29-27, 23-25, 25-21, 25-18 victory over visiting Green Valley.

BOYS SOCCER: Nunez, Gators edge Falcons

Ricardo Nunez scored two first-half goals Wednesday as the top-ranked Green Valley boys soccer team held on for a 2-1 win over visiting Foothill.

VOLLEYBALL: Longhorns outlast Rams

Myah Maxwell had 20 kills and 11 digs, and Saipeti Fuiava added 19 kills and 14 digs to lead Legacy’s girls volleyball team to a 22-25, 25-19, 25-23, 22-25, 15-9 victory over host Rancho on Monday.

CARSON CITY — Waiting to swim the anchor leg of the boys 400-yard freestyle relay, Logan Houck had nothing to do but watch as Palo Verde teammate David Miller opened a two-second lead in the final event of the Division I state swimming and diving championships Saturday at Carson City Aquatic Facility.

BASEBALL: Klein helps Patriots edge Wildcats

Jacob Klein singled down the left-field line to score Preston Pavlica with the go-ahead run in the top of the seventh, and Liberty’s baseball team held on for a 5-4 road victory over Las Vegas.

BOYS BASKETBALL: Littles, Falcons finish off Wolves

Torrance Littles had 16 points and 12 rebounds as Foothill’s boys basketball team finished a 72-64 overtime win over visiting Basic on Thursday.

GIRLS BASKETBALL: Dyer, Wildcats edge Mustangs at home

Teconna Dyer hit a tie-breaking free throw with 24 seconds to play, and Bianca Matlock added a layup eight seconds later to lift host Las Vegas High’s girls basketball team to a 53-50 win over Shadow Ridge on Thursday.
