BULLDOG INVITATIONAL: Adams shoots Rattlers to title

Daryl Adams made six 3-pointers and had 38 points Saturday as Mojave's boys basketball team rallied from a seven-point halftime deficit to defeat Bonanza 80-71 in the championship game of the Bulldog Invitational.

Richard Edwards and Chrishawn Thomas each added 14 points for the Rattlers.

Jamal Logan had 27 points to lead the Bengals. Davian Jordan had 19 points, and John Holden scored 11 for Bonanza.

Adams was named the tournament's most valuable player and was joined on the all-tournament team by Edwards, Logan, Desert Oasis' Aamondae Coleman and Shadow Ridge's Jerell Springer.

Desert Oasis 71, Virgin Valley 48 — At Mesquite, Coleman had 29 points as the Diamondbacks rolled past the Bulldogs for third place in the Bulldog Invitational.

Drevin Cannon added 13 points for Desert Oasis.

Andrew Memmott and Zach Barnum each scored 14 points for Virgin Valley.

Shadow Ridge 65, Enterprise (Utah) 59 — At Mesquite, Springer scored 21 points to lead the Mustangs over the Wolves for fifth place in the Bulldog Invitational.

James Fuller added 18 points for Shadow Ridge.

Jo B Shurtliff and Michael Dougherty each scored 15 points for Enterprise.

Kanab (Utah) 46, Moapa Valley 37 — At Mesquite, Kade Jackson and Layne Anderson each had 15 points to lead the Cowboys over the Pirates for seventh place at the Bulldog Invitational.

Jay Mortensen scored nine for Moapa Valley.

Bonanza 54, Desert Oasis 53 — At Mesquite, Logan hit six 3-pointers and scored 28 points to lead the Bengals over the Diamondbacks in the semifinals of the Bulldog Invitational.

Logan hit two 3-pointers in the final two minutes. Bonanza held Desert Oasis without a field goal in the fourth quarter and outscored the Diamondbacks 13-4 to claim the win.

Cannon scored 20 points for Desert Oasis, which led 21-10 after one quarter.

Mojave 49, Virgin Valley 44 — At Mesquite, Thomas scored 17 points as the Rattlers beat the Bulldogs in the other semifinal of the Bulldog Invitational.

Adams added 11 points for Mojave, which outscored Virgin Valley 22-11 in the second half.

Memmott had 14 points to lead the Bulldogs, who got 12 points from Nick Cox.

Shadow Ridge 68, Kanab (Utah) 34 — At Mesquite, Springer scored 13 points, and the Mustangs took a 35-14 halftime lead en route to the easy win in the Bulldog Invitational.

Kevin Branch added 12 points for Shadow Ridge.

Enterprise (Utah) 54, Moapa Valley 43 — At Mesquite, Shurtliff scored 20 points to lead the Wolves over the Pirates in the Bulldog Invitational.

Dougherty added 10 points for Enterprise.

Koby Frei and Mortensen each scored 11 for Moapa Valley.
