Palo Verde’s Jack Trent earned medalist honors with a 5-under-par 66 at TPC Las Vegas on Tuesday, six strokes better than the second-place finisher, to carry the Panthers’ boys golf team to victory in a Northwest League match.
Tyre Hilton doubled home Olivia McClain with the winning run in the bottom of the seventh inning, and Green Valley’s softball team outslugged visiting Foothill 15-14 on Tuesday.
Rancho’s Layton Walls provided a two-run single, and the Rams’ baseball team added another run on a passed ball as part of a three-run eighth inning to defeat Liberty 4-1 on the road Tuesday.

Faith Lutheran’s boys swimming team edged Clark in the final event, and the teams finished tied with 145 points in a meet at Pavilion on Saturday.
Cassidy Ludwig won two events Saturday to lead Shadow Ridge’s girls swim team to a 165-121 victory over Arbor View at Pavilion.
The Centennial girls track team won eight events at the Heikotter Invitational at Faith Lutheran on Saturday, running away with the team score and defending its title from the last season. Centennial’s boys team won five events to win the meet, also winning for the second year in a row.
Spring Valley starting pitcher Nick Rupp and reliever Jaxson Otis combined on a no-hitter, as the Grizzlies’ baseball team blanked host Boulder City on Thursday, 6-0.
