Jordan Howden and Jamel Brown each won two individual events and led the Desert Pines boys track team to victory in the Class 3A Southern Region meet at Overton on Saturday.

Brian Orellana had 34 assists and four aces to power Cheyenne’s boys volleyball team to a 25-21, 18-25, 17-25, 25-18, 15-13 road win over Desert Oasis on Friday night.
Matt Wilson had 77 assists, six digs, three kills, three aces and two blocks Wednesday to power the host Coronado boys volleyball team over Liberty, 25-19, 24-26, 23-25, 25-23, 15-10.
Sara Riley was 3-for-4 with two doubles and two RBIs, and Bonanza’s softball team held on for an 8-4 road victory over Las Vegas High on Wednesday afternoon.
