Here are the 2018 girls basketball honors, as selected by coaches.
Spring Valley 132-pounder Andres Garcia beat the Sunrise Region champion, the Sunset runner-up and last week’s Sunset Region champion to claim his first Class 4A state championship Friday at The Orleans Arena.
Shadow Ridge’s Jordan Ford had 18 carries for 165 yards and a rushing touchdown to power the Mustangs’s flag football team to a 13-6 road victory over Arbor View on Monday.

Arbor View’s Keith Williams led at the front of a pack of five runners early. Eventually, he managed to hold off PahrumpValley’s Bryce Odegard and Centennial’s Alexander Miller in the final quarter mile, putting in a good finishing kick to cross the line in 16 minutes and 13 seconds.
