Kyle Horton doubled and came home on two balks in the top of the fifth to break a 2-2 tie, and Centennial’s baseball team held on for a 3-2 win at Palo Verde.
Cameron Burton poured in 32 points, including 11 in the fourth quarter, to lead Valley’s boys basketball team to a 67-63 win at Foothill on Tuesday.
Justice Ethridge scored 28 points Tuesday to help Centennial’s girls basketball team down visiting Liberty, 59-53.
David McKeever had 20 points on Thursday to lead Rancho’s boys basketball team to a 54-52 road victory over Desert Pines.
Spring Valley’s Tyson Perkins told his coach before each of the last four seasons that he would break the school record for goals scored in a season.
