Basic’s Olivia Lampkin rolled a 688 series at The Orleans Bowling Center on Friday to hold on to win the Class 4A girls bowling state individual championship.

Gabriela Corchado caught 11 passes for 265 yards and a touchdown on Friday to help the Durango flag football team to a 42-36 home victory over Desert Oasis.
Katie Mulligan threw five touchdown passes Wednesday to lead Silverado’s flag football team to a 46-26 win at Durango.
The host Gators (6-8) overcame a slow start to score a 50-44 victory over Spanish Springs in the diamond division quarterfinals. They’ll play Dimond (Alaska) on Saturday morning in the semifinals.
Spring Valley went on an 11-2 run midway through the second quarter Thursday and made a series of defensive stops and free throws in the final minutes to secure a 44-40 victory over West Anchorage (Alaska).
The Foothill girls basketball team opened the Gator Winter Classic with a 61-32 win over Silverado in the morning and finished its first day of pool play with a 55-29 victory over Boulder City in the afternoon.
Anthony Hunter hit a 3-pointer with four seconds to play to give Durango’s boys basketball team a 67-66 road win over Sierra Vista on Friday.
