Senior Rhett Armstrong went 3-for-3 with three doubles and two RBIs, and freshman Joey Giunta came on in relief in the first inning and gave up only one run to lead host Boulder City to an 8-2 win and the tournament title.
Jordan Howden and Jamel Brown each won two individual events and led the Desert Pines boys track team to victory in the Class 3A Southern Region meet at Overton on Saturday.

David Warren won the triple jump and helped a pair of relay teams to second-place finishes to guide the Mojave boys track team to a first-place finish in the Grant Bushman Invitational in Overton.
Seth Hoffman was 3-for-4 with three doubles and six RBIs to power Cimarron-Memorial’s baseball team to a 17-6, six-inning win over host Arbor View on Friday.
