Kevin Clark hit a two-run home run in the ninth inning Friday to lift Liberty’s baseball team to a 6-4 road victory over Las Vegas in the completion of a game suspended on March 9.

SOFTBALL: Shadow Ridge holds off Centennial after two-run sixth

Caitlyn Covington went 2-for-4 with two home runs and three RBIs, and Shelbi Denman struck out nine in a complete game to lead Shadow Ridge’s softball team to a 7-6 road win over Centennial on Tuesday.

BASEBALL: Bonanza uses offensive explosion to down Cimarron

Matthew Cox went 4-for-5 with a double, a triple, three RBIs and three runs scored, and Jay DeSoto was 3-for-3 with two RBIs to power Bonanza’s baseball team to a 17-8 nonleague victory over visiting Cimarron-Memorial on Tuesday.

BASEBALL: Sierra Vista tops Bonanza in extra innings

Matthew Vanderberg doubled home Kaui Kaleopaa in the top of the eighth inning Friday to lift the Sierra Vista baseball team to a 6-5 road win over Bonanza in eight innings.

SOFTBALL: Late error helps Las Vegas edge Basic

Las Vegas’ softball team took advantage of an error to score the winning run in the bottom of the seventh inning, and the host Wildcats edged Basic 4-3 on Tuesday.
