Arbor View’s Keith Williams led at the front of a pack of five runners early. Eventually, he managed to hold off PahrumpValley’s Bryce Odegard and Centennial’s Alexander Miller in the final quarter mile, putting in a good finishing kick to cross the line in 16 minutes and 13 seconds.
Bishop Gorman No. 3 singles player Blake Weismann won a tiebreaking point over Palo Verde’s top singles player, Jack Kostrinsky, to help the Gaels’ boys tennis team edge the Panthers on the road, 10-9.

Pahrump Valley’s Willie Lucas threw a no-hitter Wednesday afternoon at Tech in a 5-0 victory over Mojave for the Cowboy Classic title.

Cooper Kitrel’s two-out, two-run single in the top of the eighth inning broke a scoreless tie, and the Sierra Vista baseball team scored four more runs to beat Bonanza on the road Monday, 6-1.
