Here are the all-Southern Nevada, all-region and all-league girls soccer teams, as selected by coaches.
Nicholas held off hard-charging Massimiliano Swenson of Bishop Gorman to become Desert Oasis’ first region cross country champion. The Diamondbacks also won the boys region team title, another first in school history.
Franklin had the fastest time among boys over two races, racing through the 3.1-mile course in 16 minutes, 0.4 seconds. Felix had the fastest girls time, at 18:31.8.
Caitlyn Covington was 3-0 in singles, and Shadow Ridge’s girls tennis team won in tie breaker points 33-27 to down visiting Arbor View in the Mountain Region tournament Wednesday, 10-9.
Claire Rawlins trailed Basic’s Raquel Chavez for much of the race, but stayed within striking distance to the end. She then raced past Chavez and held off Sierra Vista’s Sarriah Brown to win the 3.1-mile race in 19 minutes, 16 seconds.
Bonanza’s Chase Kasday did not lose a game in going 3-0 in singles and leading the Bengals’ boys tennis team to an 11-7 road victory over Faith Lutheran.
Andrada Stanciu, Ariana Stanciu and Claudia Murdasanu each went 3-0 in singles play Thursday to lead Sierra Vista’s girls tennis team to a 12-6 road victory over Basic.
Javonte Dorsey, Tanner Howard, and Christian Younger each finished 3-0 in singles as Eldorado’s boys tennis team earned a 13-5 home victory over Virgin Valley on Monday.
Centennials girls tennis team won four of six tiebreakers to edge host Bonanza 10-9 on Monday.
Foothill’s Stefan Sretenovic and Ben Crawford each went 3-0 in singles as the Falcons nipped host Silverado 10-8 in boys tennis on Wednesday.
Ava Nhaisi and Sidra Wohlwend went 2-0 in doubles on Wednesday as Coronado’s girls tennis team earned an 11-7 road win over Clark.
Kaitlyn Kowalchuk broke a scoreless tie in the final minute of the game Thursday to lift Coronados girls soccer team to a 1-0 win over host Green Valley in the Las Vegas Kick-Off.
Arianna Vigil scored the match’s lone goal off a penalty kick Monday to lead Foothill’s girls soccer team to a 1-0 road victory over Desert Oasis in the Southern Nevada Kick-off Classic.
