The Coronado girls soccer team scored a pair of first-half goals to hold off Arbor View on Wednesday and win 2-1 in the Las Vegas Kick-Off at Green Valley.
Luis Gutierrez’s first-half goal was the difference in the Eldorado boys soccer team’s 2-0 road win over Tech on Wednesday.
Madison Martinez-Hutchinson had 16 assists and 10 digs, and Breanna Onori recorded 11 assists, eight digs and seven aces as Green Valley’s volleyball team rallied for an 18-25, 18-25, 25-11, 25-19, 15-8 home win over Legacy on Tuesday night.

Coronado’s boys golf shot a two-day total of 23-over-par 599 as a team to win the Class 4A state golf tournament at Reflection Bay Golf Club on Tuesday. It was the Cougars’ first title since 2012, and Coronado players celebrated by jumping into Lake Las Vegas.
The Patriots foursome of David Leathers, Tyeese Blackman, Rudy Distrito and Cervantes White won the Sunrise Region championship in 42.84 seconds at Basic High School on Saturday afternoon to clinch aberth in Reno for the Class 4A state track meet this weekend. Coronado swept the boys and the girls titles.
The team championships for both boys and girls at Friday’s Class 4A Sunrise Regional swimming championships came down to Coronado and Green Valley and the final event of the day — the 400-yard freestyle relay.
Soraya Seumalo threw a complete game and propelled the Patriots to a 5-1 road victory over Basic to advance to the winners’ bracket final of the Sunrise Region tournament.
