Here are the 2018 baseball honors, as selected by the coaches.
Both the boys and girls teams dominated for Palo Verde as they cruised to region titles.
Nik Dobar pitched a complete game, and Centennial took advantage of a six-run fourth inning to earn a 10-4 home win over Palo Verde.
Makall Whetten knocked a two-out, two-RBI single in the bottom of the sixth inning to give the Panthers a 5-3 lead over Shadow Ridge. The Mustangs left the bases loaded in the seventh without scoring, and Palo Verde advanced to its ninth straight Sunset Region final.
Palo Verde pitcher Bryce Robison retired the final 12 batters he faced, including seven by strikeout, to help the Panthers to a 9-3 road win over Desert Oasis in the winners’ bracket of the Class 4A Sunset Region tournament.

Austin Anderson had 20 kills and seven digs on Wednesday to lead the Centennial boys volleyball team to a 25-20, 25-27, 25-14, 20-25, 15-11 victory over host Cimarron-Memorial.
