Cody Prince won the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 52.06 seconds and a margin of victory of .32 seconds to lead the Shadow Ridge boys swimming team to a 149-145 victory over Centennial at Pavilion on Saturday.
Maddy Pewtress won two individual events and swam on two winning relay teams Saturday at Multi-Generational to lead Eldorado’s girls swimming team to a 118-62 win over Chaparral.
Tyler Edlefsen and Trajan Houston each won two individual events Saturday at Pavilion to lead Palo Verde’s boys swimming team to a 213-70 win over Faith Lutheran.
Allison Wiegand won two individual events on Saturday to lead Silverado’s girls swimming team to a 116-85 victory over Canyon Springs at Multi-Generational.
Brandon Nellis swam the 50 freestyle in 22.27 seconds to help Coronado’s swim team to a 176-136 winover Foothill at Heritage on Saturday.
Skylar Shannon and Samantha Difulvio each won two individual events Saturday to help Clark’s girls swimming team to a 166-128 win over Faith Lutheran at Pavilion.
Austin Pfeifer’s three-run double in the bottom of the sixth broke a 4-4 tie and lifted Arbor View’s baseball team to a 7-4 home win over Palo Verde on Thursday.
Brayden Palluck singled home Lucas Dockery with two outs in the top of the eighth on Friday to lift Faith Lutheran’s baseball team to a 3-2 road win over Bonanza in the Bengal Varsity Tournament.
Spring Valley 132-pounder Andres Garcia beat the Sunrise Region champion, the Sunset runner-up and last week’s Sunset Region champion to claim his first Class 4A state championship Friday at The Orleans Arena.
Hannah Ferrara had two goals and two assists, and Karissa Martinez and Sierra Vicente each had a goal and an assist to lead Arbor View’s girls soccer team to a 5-0 home win over Centennial on Wednesday night.
Bishop Gorman No. 3 singles player Blake Weismann won a tiebreaking point over Palo Verde’s top singles player, Jack Kostrinsky, to help the Gaels’ boys tennis team edge the Panthers on the road, 10-9.
