Green Valley sophomore Steele Dias won the 106-pound state championship to help the Gators to their sixth consecutive state title Saturday at Spanish Springs High School.

Steven Adeyemi and Trevor White scored 14 points apiece Tuesday to help Sunrise Mountain’s boys basketball clinch its first playoff berth in school history with a 62-49 home win over Mojave.
Samara Miller had 15 points, and Brooke Haney added 14 points, as Green Valley’s girls basketball team defeated host Basic 62-50 on Tuesday to clinch a postseason berth.
Demarco Alexander led all scorers with 17 points as Cimarron-Memorial’s boys basketball team topped host Arbor View 60-54 on Monday.
Niara Smith had 24 points, and Cimarron-Memorial outscored host Arbor View 8-4 in the second overtime to earn a 60-56 girls basketball victory on Monday.
Nic Maccioni had 26 points, and Faith Lutheran’s boys basketball team pulled away in the second half for a 77-55 victory over Legacy on Wednesday. It was the 300th career victory for Crusaders coach Bret Walter, who is 300-225 in his 20th season at the school.
