‘Connected’ Gators capture sixth straight championship

Green Valley sophomore Steele Dias won the 106-pound state championship to help the Gators to their sixth consecutive state title Saturday at Spanish Springs High School.

BASEBALL: Boulder City rallies to stun Spring Valley

Zach Murphy drew a bases-loaded walk to force home Austin Wishard with the winning run with one out in the bottom of the seventh inning Friday as Boulder City’s baseball team rallied for a 5-4 win over visiting Spring Valley.

Seniors help Gators capture championship

Adrian Ojeda and fellow senior Robert Razo each won individual state titles at Star of the Desert Arena, helping Green Valley capture its fifth consecutive team championship at the Division I state wrestling tournament.

BASEBALL: Klein helps Patriots edge Wildcats

Jacob Klein singled down the left-field line to score Preston Pavlica with the go-ahead run in the top of the seventh, and Liberty’s baseball team held on for a 5-4 road victory over Las Vegas.
