Green Valley sophomore Steele Dias won the 106-pound state championship to help the Gators to their sixth consecutive state title Saturday at Spanish Springs High School.
Boulder City crowned four region champions and will send 16 wrestlers to the Class 3A state championships.
Nic Maccioni had 26 points, and Faith Lutheran’s boys basketball team pulled away in the second half for a 77-55 victory over Legacy on Wednesday. It was the 300th career victory for Crusaders coach Bret Walter, who is 300-225 in his 20th season at the school.
Chrys Jackson scored 26 points to help the Rancho boys basketball team overturn a 22-9 first-quarter deficit and down host Las Vegas 69-61 on Tuesday.
James Camp scored on a layup with six seconds remaining Thursday to give Palo Verde’s boys basketball team a 56-55 victory over host Arbor View.
Kavon Williams scored a game-high 16 points to help Cheyenne’s boys basketball team upset visiting Desert Pines, 56-52 on Tuesday.
