Karime Raygoza recorded 16 kills and 20 digs, and Leiana Nacapuy tallied 48 assists and eight digs as Rancho’s girls volleyball team topped host Las Vegas, 19-25, 25-15, 25-19, 25-15.

TENNIS: Mangan, Basic boys edge Jaguars

Gavin Mangan went 3-0 in singles Friday to help Basic’s boys tennis team pull out a 10-8 road win over Desert Pines.

BASEBALL: Basic clinches share of Sunrise League title

Ryne Nelson went 3-for-3 with a double, three runs and two RBIs, and Basic’s baseball team secured a share of the Division I Sunrise League title with a 12-1 five-inning win over visiting Valley on Thursday.

VOLLEYBALL: Gators rally to top Coronado

James Reed had 22 kills, 11 digs and four aces Thursday to lead Green Valley’s boys volleyball team to a 17-25, 19-25, 25-20, 25-14, 15-13 victory over visiting Coronado.
