Samantha Pochop tossed a five-hitter and struck out 12 on Thursday to lead Rancho’s softball team to a 1-0 win over visiting Coronado in a matchup of the top two teams in the Division I Sunrise League.
Skylar Gorrell tossed a four-hitter and struck out six Tuesday as Las Vegas High’s softball team handed visiting Rancho its first loss in Division I Sunrise League play, 4-3.

Drake Maningo was 2-for-3 with a double, a triple, two RBIs and two runs as Green Valley’s baseball team edged visiting Rancho 5-4 on Tuesday.
Alexa Blazek doubled home Cinthia Garcia with two outs in the top of the seventh to give the Green Valley softball team a 5-4 road win over Foothill on Monday.
