Needles defeated Lincoln County 20-6 on Saturday at The Meadows, winning their first state championship since 2013.
Needles will look to add another state title to its record total after winning a 16-14 slugfest against Lincoln County on Friday in the Class 2A state tournament semifinals at The Meadows.

Taylor Okamura was 4-for-4 with three triples, a double and seven RBIs, and Coronado’s softball team routed visiting Green Valley 17-2 in four innings to clinch the Class 4A Sunrise League title.
