ROUNDUP: Williams, Falcons rally past Sundevils

Taeg Williams had 47 assists and three aces Wednesday to help Foothill’s boys volleyball team rally for a 27-29, 18-25, 25-19, 25-13, 15-11 victory over host Eldorado.

Kendall Andrews and Chansten Chow each added 14 kills, and Preston Duke had 10 blocks for the Falcons. Andrews also had 15 digs.

Jacob Hollingsworth led Eldorado with seven kills and 10 blocks.

David Tran added 12 kills and 16 digs, and Michael Ahn had 10 blocks for the Sundevils, who got 24 assists from Michael Thomas.

Legacy 3, Bonanza 1 — At Legacy, Trent Compton supplied 24 kills and 11 digs, and Tanner Compton added 15 kills and 14 digs to lead the Longhorns to a 25-18, 25-16, 19-25, 25-21 victory over the Bengals.

Braden Liu dished out 46 assists, and Anthony Cabrera had 19 digs for Legacy.

Adam Puckoris had 20 digs to lead Bonanza, which got nine kills each from Kellen Layne and Brian Clow.

Centennial 3, Cimarron-Memorial 1 — At Cimarron, Blake Frischknecht had 15 kills to lead the Bulldogs to a 25-21, 25-18, 19-25, 25-12 road win over the Spartans.

Chet Durkin added 33 assists, and Hunter Stratton and Cameron Hanselman each supplied 11 kills for Centennial.

Kyle Henriksen had 16 kills, and Taylor Larsen added 31 assists to lead Cimarron, which got five kills and nine digs from Efrain Ambriz.  

Bishop Gorman 3, Desert Oasis 0 — At Desert Oasis, Amadeus Sowa had 10 kills and 12 digs, and Jeremy Day supplied 10 kills, nine digs and two blocks to help the Gaels to a 25-21, 25-23, 25-23 sweep of the Diamondbacks.

Chris Shea had 22 assists, and Jason Han added 12 digs for Gorman.

Nate Norr had 20 digs and three kills for Desert Oasis, which got six kills from Saunoa Afoa and five kills from Kodi Leslie.

Basic 3, Liberty 1 — At Liberty, Taylor Dyer had 23 assists, and Will Fitzpatrick provided eight kills and two aces to help the Wolves to a 25-14, 25-21, 16-25, 25-17 win over the Patriots.

Dylan Green had seven blocks for Basic.

Eric Avila had seven kills for Liberty.

Arbor View 3, Cheyenne 0 — At Arbor View, Chris Heron had 28 assists, six aces and three kills, and Peter Peck added 10 digs, three aces and two assists to help the Aggies sweep the Desert Shields, 25-16, 25-16, 25-17.

Sam Buckles supplied eight kills and five blocks for Arbor View.

Darius Gantt had eight blocks and three kills, and Deonte Perkins provided seven digs and four kills for Cheyenne.

Coronado 3, Del Sol 0 — At Del Sol, Max Osmundson had 10 kills, seven digs and two aces, and Connor Stephenson added 17 assists and two aces as the Cougars downed the Dragons, 25-5, 25-9, 25-15.

Logan Dickover had 14 assists, and Matt Pettit had seven kills for Coronado, which got nine digs from Coltin Romney.

Juan Mendoza had three kills and six digs, and Jesse Brown had seven digs for Del Sol. La’akea Cabanas had six assists for the Dragons.
