ROUNDUP: Gelhart helps rally Foothill past Basic
Rhianna Gelhart had 24 kills and five digs Tuesday to lead Foothill’s girls volleyball team to a 25-18, 24-26, 10-25, 25-14, 15-10 win at Basic.
Zoe Wolfenbarger added 22 assists, 10 kills and nine digs, and Pamela Sakuma supplied 18 digs for the Falcons.
Green Valley 3, Del Sol 0 — At Green Valley, Carly Schiess had six kills and five aces to lead the Gators to a 25-10, 25-7, 25-23 victory over the Dragons.
Emma Johnson added four kills and six aces, and Taylor Seidler had six aces for Green Valley.
Kaleileihua Cabanas had seven digs for Del Sol.
Silverado 3, Liberty 0 — At Silverado, Kayla Agae had 20 kills and 18 digs to power the Skyhawks to a 25-10, 25-3, 25-14 sweep of the Patriots.
Marilyn Agae added 13 digs and 11 kills for Silverado.
Desert Pines 3, Rancho 2 — At Rancho, Monica Estella had 16 digs, and Nancy Macias added 12 kills as the Jaguars rallied for a 20-25, 19-25, 25-22, 25-18, 15-10 win over the Rams.
Jazzmin Avalos had 20 assists, and Heather Hans served five aces for Desert Pines.
Samantha Carino paced the Rams with 16 kills.
Las Vegas 3, Canyon Springs 0 — At Las Vegas, Marissa Lair put down eight kills, and Breanna Melton added six kills and seven digs to help the Wildcats to a 25-12, 25-13, 25-9 sweep of the Pioneers.
Katie Mathews collected eight digs, and Mariel Hundley dished out 12 assists for Las Vegas.
Baylee Delgado had seven assists, and Elenai Alailima supplied three kills for Canyon Springs.
Eldorado 3, Chaparral 1 — At Eldorado, Chelsea Sallender had 10 kills and seven aces as the Sundevils beat the Cowboys, 19-25, 25-17, 25-21, 25-20.
Chelsea Andersen had 16 assists, and Candace Watkins added seven kills for Eldorado.
Palo Verde 3, Mojave 0 — At Palo Verde, Lauren Kannal had nine assists and seven aces as the Panthers swept the Rattlers, 25-7, 25-12, 25-14.
Kady Lay and Candace Clark added five kills each for Palo Verde.
Mojave’s Jasmin Gardner dished out five assists, and Jasmine Pedraza contributed five digs.
Lake Mead 3, Agassi Prep 0 — At Agassi Prep, Ashley Newton’s 14 kills, six digs and four aces helped the Eagles to a 25-19, 27-25, 25-18 win over the Stars.
Heather Hillenbrand added nine kills and five digs for Lake Mead, which got 14 assists and four digs from Megan Watkins and seven assists from Taylor Vetter.
Marisa Heaton supplied four kills and three blocks for Lake Mead.
Adelson School 3, Mountain View JV 1 — At Adelson School, Allie Baracani had 22 assists, three kills and three aces to lead the Lions to a 25-13, 17-25, 25-20, 25-18 win over Mountain View’s junior varsity squad.
Morgan Goodelman added six kills and five aces, and Elie Steinberg had seven kills for the Lions.
Tonopah 3, Mineral County 0 — At Tonopah, Britney Klapper dished out 14 assists as the Muckers breezed past the Serpents, 25-8, 25-13, 25-10.
Sam Kimber and Deanna Van Poucke each added five kills, and Elaina Dunn served seven aces for Tonopah.
