Top wrestlers: Christopher Monson, Chance Franz, Javier Guadarrama, Ryan Buchanan
Outlook: Monson placed fourth at 126 pounds and Franz fourth at heavyweight in last year’s Class 3A Southern Region meet.
They’re among six returning lettermen for the Desert Shields.
“Last year we qualified nine wrestlers to state,” Abrams said. "This year we hope to not only qualify wrestlers to state, but make some noise and get people to place at state. We feel that this year’s team, with their experience, gives us a chance to do just that.”
