Omar Bickel’s pin at 215 pounds helped Rancho’s wrestling team sweep the top three weight classes Thursday for a 45-35 win over visiting Chaparral.
Bickel picked up his pin in 31 seconds to help send the Rams to the victory.
Bryson Mitchell (119), Tommy Perkins (135) and Brandon Flores (152) also won by pin for the Rams.
Chaparral’s Austin Sutton (112), Joaquin Torrez (125) and Octavio Solorzano (171) recorded pins for the Cowboys.
Mountain Lions crush Durango
At Sierra Vista, Devon Price won by pin in 30 seconds at 130 pounds, and the Mountain Lions rolled to a 60-4 victory over Durango.
Sierra Vista won six matches by pin and four by forfeit to collect the maximum six points in each.
Gorman tops Clark
At Bishop Gorman, Nick Solari (119), Christian Campbell (130), Christian Wilhelm (145), Tommy Field (152) and Jimmy Clark (189) each won by pin to lift the Gaels to a 62-6 victory over the Chargers.
Campbell won his match in just 32 seconds.
