ROUNDUP: Cimarron cruises past Faith Lutheran

Cimarron-Memorial’s wrestling team won three of the five contested matches Thursday on its way to a 71-10 win at Faith Lutheran.

 

The Spartans collected nine victories by forfeit.

 

Colbey Garrison (135 pounds) and Charles Bernadino (145) each won by pin, and teammate Gerald Alcon (112) was a winner by technical fall.

 

Damon Kecman (171) registered a pin for the Crusaders.

Centennial downs Faith Lutheran
At Faith Lutheran, Centennial recorded pins in the six heaviest weight classes en route to a 66-13 win over the Crusaders.

 

The Bulldogs claimed seven matches by pin and four more by forfeit.

Las Vegas rolls past Desert Pines, Rancho
At Las Vegas, the Wildcats won all but one contested match of the night to roll past Desert Pines, 62-6, and Rancho, 75-0.

 

Las Vegas 215-pounder Trey McElhaney won both of his matches by pin, in a combined 2 mins, 38 seconds.

Gorman beats Pahrump, Desert Oasis
At Bishop Gorman, the Gaels had five wrestlers register two pins on the way to a 54-21 win over Pahrump Valley and a 42-36 victory over Desert Oasis.

 

Christian Campbell (125), Tommy Field (145), Steven Hernandez (160), Johnny Field (189) and Bradley Hanfield (285) each had two pins for Gorman.

Desert Oasis beats Pahrump
At Gorman, the Diamondbacks racked up seven pins on the way to a 46-24 victory over the Trojans.
