Spring Valley’s wrestling team moved to 4-0 in Southwest League duals Tuesday with home wins over Clark and Durango.
The Grizzlies defeated the Chargers, 68-9, and beat the Trailblazers, 75-6.
Teven Mayo (125 pounds), Rodrigo Santos (140) and Rashad Waters (171) each picked up two wins for the Grizzlies. Trever Siedlecki (119), Jordan Connor (130), Ray Waters (160), Churchill Rochester (189), Dominic Tru (215) and Devin Dishari (285) each had one pin for Spring Valley.
Mustangs top Longhorns, Aggies
At Shadow Ridge, the Mustangs picked up league victories over Legacy and Arbor View.
Shadow Ridge cruised past Legacy, 45-22 in the first match, then held off Arbor View, 36-27 in the nightcap.
Jonah McKee (103) and Spencer McKee (135) each won twice by pin for the Mustangs, and teammates Nick McDearmon (160), Michael Tootle (171) and Jordan Kurth (215) each added one pin.
Logan Leavitt (119), London Thomas (125), Devin Poopaa (130), Brandon Brine (140), Keith Lasgow (145), Vince Russo (152) and Brando Cunningham (160) each won twice for the Aggies.
Duo leads Bengals past Trojans, Mountain Lions
At Sierra Vista, Mario Mondragon (112) and Mike Zellner (119) each won twice to lead Bonanza past Pahrump Valley and Sierra.
The Bengals held off Pahrump, 40-30 and defeated the Mountain Lions, 54-18.
Zellner had two pins in a combined six minutes, 45 seconds for the Bengals. Mondragon added a pin in 3:08 against Pahrump, and a 10-3 decision against Sierra Vista.
Pahrump’s Elliott Owens (130), Matt Rader (140) and Kory Daffer (285) each won twice by pin.
Daniel Strbac (160) went 2-0 for the Mountain Lions.
Badgely, Huxford lead Eagles to pair of victories
At Boulder City, Frankie Badgely (171) and Bleu Huxford (215) each won twice by pin to lead the Eagles to a pair of victories.
Boulder City beat Foothill 31-27 and Moapa Valley 39-37. Badgely needed only 20 seconds to win by fall against Foothill.
Foothill beat Moapa Valley 42-36 in the other meet.
Moapa Valley’s Shae Bryant (135) won two matches by pin.
Gorman picks up two victories
At Western, Bishop Gorman defeated Desert Oasis 39-19 and Western 55-12.
Gorman’s Dylan Beckwith (130 pounds), Karlo Miller (140), Tommy Field (152), Jason Auschwitz (171), Jimmy Clark (189) and Jordan Welte (215) each won two matches.
Forfeits doom Mojave
At Mojave, the Rattlers won six of nine contested matches, but forfeits allowed Centennial and Cheyenne to top the Rattlers.
Centennial won eight matches by forfeit en route to a 64-15 victory.
Lawrence Easley (189) and David Wilson (285) won by pin for the Bulldogs.
Cheyenne won just one contested match, but took eight forfeits on the way to a 52-27 win.
Mojave’s Juwuan Fowler (125) and Marshawn Allen (140) each recorded two pins on the night.
Centennial topped Cheyenne 54-18 in the other match.
