2 hospitalized, 14 displaced by Henderson apartment fire
Two people were hospitalized after a fire in a 12-unit apartment building in Henderson Saturday morning.
Henderson Fire Department officials said 14 people from six units were displaced by the fire, which caused an estimated $200,000 in damage to two upstairs apartments at 6551 Annie Oakley Drive, near Sunset Road and Green Valley Parkway.
Neighbors reported the fire about 8:30 a.m.
Firefighters used ladders to save two people stranded upstairs due to thick smoke and heat. They treated four people at the scene. Two people from different apartments were transported to the hospital.
The Red Cross of Southern Nevada relocated about 14 people.
There were no injuries among the fire crews.
The cause of the fire was still under investigation.
