Comedian, a Marine, talks Osama

You know Rob Riggle from his cop roles in "The Hangover" and "The Other Guys." But if you watched him on "The Daily Show," you might know he's a Marine, too.

Lt. Col. Riggle, now a reservist, served in Afghanistan, Kosovo and Liberia. He cleaned rubble at ground zero after the 9/11 attacks.

So it was only natural that I asked whether he wished he could have been in the unit that awesomely hunted and killed Osama bin Laden. (Although, that was a Navy SEAL operation.)

"Of course. This man killed 3,000 people. He's not a good person," Riggle answered. "That's just on 9/11. He killed more people in Kenya and all over the place.

"He was probably the most evil man on the planet. It's a good thing he's gone."

But let's lighten the mood because Riggle -- an improvisation actor and "Saturday Night Live" alum --performs stand-up comedy tonight and Saturday at the Playboy Comedy Lounge.

Riggle says it was a funny experience to transition from improv acting to comedy because he was used to the supportive, ensemble mentality of improv troupes.

"Then you to do stand-up, and (comedians) are all pretty much like, 'Uh, go (expletive) yourself,' " Riggle says and laughs. "I'm like, 'Really? I thought we just had fun!' "

Riggle has three big movies coming out in 2012.

He's in the romance "Big Miracle" with Kristen Bell and Drew Barrymore.

He does voice-over acting in "Dr. Seuss' The Lorax," with Danny DeVito, Betty White, Ed Helms, Zac Efron and Taylor Swift.

And he's in a comedy reboot of "21 Jump Street" with Jonah Hill, Channing Tatum and Johnny Depp. Yep, Depp is in it.

WHERE IN THE WORLD IS KRIS HUMPHRIES?

Knock, knock. Who's there? Not Kris Humphries.

He posed shirtless in ads for his scheduled appearance this Saturday at Chateau, but since "wife" Kim Kardashian got cold feet two months after marriage and filed for divorce, Humphries axed Saturday's Vegas gig.

So look on my blog to see who's at the clubs: Mix Master Mike with Travis Barker on Saturday at Haze, Clinton Sparks DJs tonight at Rain and many more.

Meanwhile, it's First Friday tonight downtown. Free parking and shuttling is at the Stratosphere, City Hall garage and the Clark County Government Center.

Believe me, free parking for First Friday is more important than Humphries canceling. Vegas without free parking would be a travesty.
