Corrections officer faces porn charges

A Nevada Department of Corrections officer was arrested Wednesday at his home on multiple counts of possession and distribution of child pornography.

Robert M. Cecil, 45, an officer at the High Desert State Prison just south of Indian Springs, was booked at the Clark County Detention Center on one count of preparing, advertising or distributing pornography and 10 counts of possession of child pornography.

He has been placed on administrative leaving pending review of the information about his arrest, Corrections Director Howard Skolnik said.

Cecil will make his first appearance in Las Vegas Justice Court today.
